Time Doesn't Like Me

It was a bummer- I forgot my PE clothes last week, and this morning I realized they were still at Tyson and Molly's apartment and not with me on campus. *Duh Hayley!* I popped out to Molly and Tyson's to grab them, the bus ride flowed smoothly I was able to get on the bus right away and both the maxes there and back were there right away too. I didn't futz about either I grabbed my clothes threw them on but my street clothes in the bag cleaned off the dirt from using them outside and then jetted. I'm mad at myself that I still missed class. I can never seem to keep up with things, to make it in time although I try really hard to. I really hope I don't have to do an assignment to make up for the absence. I'm already behind in Health and Meteorology, although I'm hoping to be caught up with meteorology today.

So much of the time I just feel like the gal in this music video...

Do you still have to do PE, Hayley? (Don't understand)

Any way lots of love to you, sweetie

Hi'a Kev,

For my two year degree, so ultimately for my four year degree, I need a PE credit and a health class. At first I thought it was really silly, but making a class out if it and having transport to a gym every other day has turned out to be great. I need the exercise and it wakes me up in the morning. I figure I'll take Yoga next term to keep with it.
Having said that, I do have a bit of a beef with the American college system. I'm working on a history degree and I haven't had a history class in over a year! Also, although it's not a bad idea, I need to take two years of foreign language for my Anthropology degree. I don't know which one to pick. Right now I feel I've gone so far afield with all the science and credits outside of history and anthropology, that I feel I forgotten what I'm even doing this for. On the bright side if all goes as planned I should have my associates degree, by the end of this Spring.

Well good luck with it all, Hayley, although I must say it seems an extremely long-winded way of getting anywhere in particular - even to a job. Europeans would just recoil in horror at how vague, diffuse and general-purpose that degree course sounds (the PE bit seems weird!) but I understand that's what you have to do if you're an american.....!

Lots o' love to you xx

Lol! Yeah I could definitely see Europeans cringing at the degree process here. Mum sure does, she really doesn't like the college system here. She often tells me, but what does that have to do with a history degree or an anthropology degree, and I'm at a loss as to what to say. The PE I do think is an institutional decision to combat the high rates of diabetes, Cardiovascular disease, and obesity in America. I don't know if that will actually work though as what needs to be changed is the typical American lifestyle. In all honesty I can't say I'm exeempt from that either though. Lots of Love to You, Connie, and Quincy!

Hayley :)
