I have done much lately, yippy! I went to the 2005 Vans Warped Tour on the 10th down here at Columbia Meadows, with Dad! I have been longing to go to a summer consert, and with the Warped Tour being practically in our backyard (no more than five minutes away and we walked to it) I just couldn't resist! That and I really wanted to see the Offspring, Dropkick Murpheys, and My Chemical Romance. Most of all I wanted to see the Offspring I have some good memories comanying their songs (Lol hey dad, Walla walla--I see you in Walla Walla!)at anyrate it was wonderful. Their was another couple of smaller bands we also saw and we totally got a kick out of. There was Vallient Thourr, who were great. They got REALLY into their performance playing loudly, and more importantly well. The lead singer climbed up on the security barrier and sung to the crowd, he climbed up on the really tall speakers and sang, and at the last song jumped and came out into the crowd. He also, after sweating his shirt through thoughly wang it out into his mouth! One girl protested saying "nasty" I didn't actully didn't think it was nasty, just bizzare and amusing, perhaps I'm weird...oh well! The band was a sort sixties metal type band. Needless to say the name intrigued me enough lol. It was pretty cool. Another band was Bedouin Sound Clash. I really enjoyed them, they were sort of a reggae/middle eastern mix. I would have bought their cd, but they had pack up their booth before I had a chance... bummer. Offspring was also very cool and I had a good view of them most the time. The only thing that was a bummer about their preformance, was that to see over the two big guys in front of me who were about 6.4" to 6,5" tall and I had to balance on a raised plastic cord cover to see the stage over the men's shoulders. The trouble was I kept on getting pushed off it. other than that however it was a good view overall it was a great show.

On a not so important note Trojan condoms was one of the tour's sonsers, heh heh I wonder why, and they were giving out free samples of their new mint condoms. I don't need them just going to focus on school and working future plans out. I figure there is plenty of time for that. I just kind of took them because they were handed to me and I thought it was funny *shrug*. After the show I read the package and it said "If you do not need this free sample please give it to a friend who does." I felt bad taking it purely on a lark when other people need them. Fortunatly, anyone I know who would need them is certainly smart enough to take care of it themselves. So I didn't feel badly for long lol. I just decided to keep them as weird souvaneers (I spelled that awfully *blush*) of the concert and throw them out in 2007, I didn't know condoms lasted that long. I'm so silly, but in my denfence it's not exactly something they tell you in health class. They sould tell you though for the sake of education at least.

Yesterday was really neat, I finally got around to riding the horses. I also felt brave enough to ride Gulliver, for green horse that hasn't been ridden for sometime he did very well ^_^. Blue was his usual lovely old self and he did well too after a long stint of no riding. I love the horses, it's so nice just to be around them. This time of year their coats are all shiny and soft and they smell lovely Blue likes to rest his head near me and nudge me, it's so cute. I thought I'd start Blue off nice an slow also because his not as young as he used to be.

I have also been researching in my Roman Cavalry book it has been really good. I love the fact that they have such little and interesting details about the period and all the techniques. I can't wait to finish the part about the trainning techniques I can't help but compare the Roman riding styles to modern styles. I love history ^_^.

I so happy I gotten much done that I was hoping to. I still really need to work on my room though *shutter* it's still so messy and I'll soon be moving to my new room ahh, but it's way cool too! I'm glad I've go an entry completed too huzzah!

It's fun to randomly grab condoms. I was at an Ani Difranco concert and Planned Parenthood was giving away lots of colored ones. I went, "OOOH, free condoms!" and grabbed a huge handful. It wasn't until later that I realized that I might have been seen as odd. *lol*

I'd tack them up on your wall, if I were you (through the edge of the wrapper). Great souvenir, and just amusing to boot.

Thanks for the comment April. Yeah it was fun to grab thoes condoms. I decided I'd only take a couple as there were other people around in relationships, who needed them lol. Condoms make me laugh.
I heard this great WWII story about a Germany soldier who was captured by Americans at the last of the war. He kept a very small journal during his time in service. When he was captured he feared they would conficate thoes personal entries from him thinking them battle plans possibly; so out of this fear he hide the journal. The really clever part of this was how he hid it. He hid the journal rolled up inside of a condom and placed the condom inside his water cantine. In this way he smuggled the thing completely through all the checks in Europe undamaged by water, no one noticed! That story really stuck with me not only was it clever, but I didn't know they had plastic condoms in the 40's. Suppose they could have been rubber. Well I best be going. Talk to ya later my friend.

Hayley ^_^

They were rubber, actually, and much thicker than condoms are now. Matter of fact, you could wash them out and reuse them! Guys who complain that condoms take away sensation should count themselves lucky, older condoms were much much worse.

Condoms now are still rubber (aka natural latex), unless they're polyurethane, which is for people who are allergic.
