Snow, Snow, Snow and more Snow
Dec. 23rd, 2008 01:29 am I must say, this is the most snow I have ever seen here in Oregon. The only time I can remember it snowing near as much as it has lately, is when I was around 7 or 8 years old, and my friend Sheri was snowed in at my house for around three days. We had fun, but the snow wasn't as deep and it melted within three or four days. This storm has given us at least two to three feet of snow and it is still snowing on and off. At first it was nice and exciting, but now the novelty is gone and we're all feeling a bit stir crazy. Sadly I wasn't able to visit with everyone out at the farm for Hanukkah. I miss everyone and wish I could have been there. One of my favorite parts of the Winter Break and Christmas time is being able to visit everyone and shopping for presents. Unfortunately due to the cold snowy weather and a lack of money I haven't been able to to do much of either. According to the local news station this is the largest snow storm we have had since 1980! I guess a white Christmas sounds nice, but in reality it makes Christmas not as easy to actually carry out. I hope we can still go to church on Christmas Eve.
I did some icon collecting tonight. All this snow made me think of Yue from Avatar so I looked about LJ for some pretty Yue icons, and I difinitely found some. Thanks to the livejournal users agnikai and Smiledrawinglie to making such lovely icons of Yue and sharing them with fellow LJ users. I really like all of them and look forward to posting with them.
Take care everyone and I hope you have a happy Christmas, Hanukkah, and winter Solstice. Love to everyone and have a lovely and healthy New Year.
